Hidden Glasgow.

A few photos of the Nolly Canal. The 'Nolly' is the north Glasgow name for the Forth and Clyde Canal which crosses from Bowling on the River Clyde[ and access to the Atlantic] to Grangemouth on the River Forth [ and access to the North Sea]. There is a branch of the canal which goes from 'Stockingfield Junction' right into Port Dundas in Glasgow [less than 1/2 mile from the city centre and shopping/leisure facilities.

This is the 'bascule' bridge at Applecross Basin, in Hamiltonhill. For those who know Glasow, Garscube Road is to the right of the picture, and after going through the bridge the barge will pass OVER Possil Road. The towers on the right of the picture are in Glasgow city centre!
